He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. – Psalms 23:3 NIV
Spending time in nature can be refreshing. It helps us realize how powerful our God is. It allows us to focus on Him.
When the Lord leads us along the right paths, everything falls into place. The Lord may call us to a new kind of work, a deeper understanding of the Bible, or perhaps a prayer meditation practice.
Time that we spend in prayer is never wasted. When Jesus answers our prayers, He makes it very clear the path we need to take and when. Amen.

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. – Psalm 41:1 NKJV
I recently spent some time in Yellowstone with my family, and it was amazing to see the wildlife there, especially the buffalo and elk. With the geysers in Yellowstone, I wonder if the wildlife there pant for the water in the same way, or if they know better than to go close to the scalding water. During previous visits to Yellowstone, I barely saw any wildlife, so I was excited to see a buffalo closer than I expected. I kept my safe distance, of course.
When we look forward to our prayer time with the Lord, He blesses us more than we can ask or think. Prayer is not merely something we do before dinnertime. It is a source of comfort at any part of the day. The Lord hears our prayers. If we tune into His voice, we can follow the path he lays out for us and find peace. Amen.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. – Isaiah 43:2 KJV
The Lord is the most creative being in the universe. When we contemplate the wonders of Yellowstone National Park and its spectacular waterfalls and geysers, it is marvelous to see how much art He puts into His works. No detail is out of place. Even in a fallen world, His work is divine.
From rugged mountains to quiet rivers and boiling geysers, to see life such as bright orange bacteria thrive in up to 199 degree temperatures, we forget the worries of our day-to-day existence. God’s works are sublime.
He is worthy of praise. When we walk along the park’s boardwalks spanning the boiling waters, we can only wonder how great our God is. He protects us, physically and spiritually in every way. Amen.

You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence. – Acts 2:28 NIV
When we take a break from our normal routines to behold God’s breathtaking mountains, quiet rivers, and spectacular wonders, we can marvel at God’s creative power.
Solving our problems is nothing to Him compared to creating the Tetons or the mysteries of Old Faithful in Yellowstone.
When Job complained to God about his unfortunate life circumstances, God didn’t pander to Job’s complaints; He simply asked Job where was Job when God created the world.
Our God is an awesome God! He is more powerful than we can imagine. He can do anything. We can trust Him completely. Spending time in nature reminds us of who God is. He is the great I Am, and nothing is too difficult for Him to do. Amen.
