Prayer Devotional: Day 40

Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. – Ecclesiastes 11:4 NIV

Sometimes we wait for perfect conditions to act, but we can trust in the Lord to show us where we should move and what we should do.

Nobody is perfect but God. He answers our prayers with perfect timing, not when we demand an answer. He knows exactly what we need to hear and when. Amen.

Prayer Devotional: Day 28

Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge. – Psalms 62:8 NIV

Sometimes we can be hard on ourselves. Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes, even if we were trying our best.

The Lord is with us no matter what. He is our hiding place. We are safe with Him.

We can share with Him all the burdens we are carrying and all the desires of our hearts. He hears all our requests, and He is never too busy to respond. We sometimes have to be patient, because He answers us in ways we cannot always anticipate. Amen.

Prayer Journal: Day 338

Day 338

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. – Psalms 27:14 NIV

We don’t like to wait. We don’t like waiting in lines at the DMV, and we don’t always want to wait patiently as the Lord answers our prayers.

The Lord is worth the wait. Even though it may seem like He didn’t answer us, He is working in the background in mysterious ways.

We can trust that He will always give us the answer. Amen.

Day 331

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. – Jeremiah 29:12 NIV

The Lord hears our prayers. He is our best friend. He is our Counselor. He is our Savior.

When we are unsure what the future holds,  we simply need to pause and ask Him for guidance. Sometimes the answer comes right away. Other times we need to take action in the right direction before we begin to understand where He is leading us.

The Lord does not make mistakes. He will never lead us down the wrong path. He is here for us always. Amen.
