Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. – James 1:2-3 NIV
God loves us in sickness and in health. Sometimes we don’t know why we have had to endure periods of illness, but we often end up appreciating what God does for us even more after experiencing hardships.
When we are healthy, we can praise Him. When we are healed, we can shout for joy.
Good health is precious and we can be grateful for it. When we take responsibility for our health and deliberately plan nutritious meals, exercise, and pray continually, the Lord rewards us with more energy and thankfulness. Amen.
These things I have spoken to you, that in me you have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. – John 16:33
There’s no doubt that this has been a hard year for many. We endured sickness and loss, pain and trials.
But there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Jesus has overcome the world, and He has made our sins as white as snow.
He gives us the power to clear the negative, poisonous energy that people cast upon us. He knows our struggles.
The path of righteousness and love is not always easy.
Our Lord is more powerful than the forces of darkness. He can give us direction, hope, and peace in the midst of a turbulent world. If we rely on Him, He can give us peace. Amen.
