Prayer Journal: Day 277

Day 277

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:13 NIV

My husband is having hernia surgery on June 4th. I wish I could say that I wasn’t worried, but I know that with every surgery there is potential for complications.

The Lord is the Great Physician. He knows more than any surgeon, and He will be there watching over my husband.

God loves us, and when we seek Him with all our heart, we will find the reassurance we are looking for. Amen.

Prayer Journal: Day 188

Day 188

A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense. – Proverbs 19:11 NIV

The Lord teaches us how to forgive an offense. Since none of us are without sin, we are not justified to judge others.

The Lord knows our pain and has borne our sorrows.

If we have never lost a loved one, it is difficult to understand grief, but Jesus understood grief. He was a man acquainted with sorrow. He wants to comfort us and take away our pain and infirmities. Jesus is the Great Physician.

In Heaven there will be no need for hospitals or emergency rooms. God will be the only thing that we need.

When we trust Him with all aspects of our body, mind, and soul, we will never be disappointed.

He takes care of our friends and family members, and He is only a prayer away when we need Him. Amen.

Prayer Journal: Day 115

Day 115

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the Earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. – Psalm 90:2 NIV

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t know that the mountains were here, but Christ existed before God formed the mountains. The creative power of our God is beyond comprehension.

His everlasting love for us is a blessing. We can always count on it.

He is our Savior and redeemer. His power to heal is greater than any physician’s. He can bring comfort to those who are in the hospital.

He can make our love for each other expand across our physical separation.

He can fill our hearts with joy and replace any feelings of isolation with gladness. We can trust in Him completely. Amen.

May you have peace and ease this Christmas season.
