On this Thanksgiving day, we can remember the Lord, and how He gave us strength to overcome everything that we face in life.
When we seek Him first, everything else falls in line.
Our families, our jobs, and our well-being are interconnected with God’s blessings. We can give thanks to Him daily. Amen.
Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them. – Jeremiah 29:5 KJV
As Thanksgiving nears, we have many things to thank God for. Despite the hardships that the pandemic has brought on, so many people have persevered.
When we look at our cozy homes and the surrounding gardens, sometimes it seems like the plants and animals around us are unaffected by the pandemic. Plants still grow. The sun still shines. We have warm houses, loving families, and supportive co-workers.
God gives us something to be thankful for every day. It’s the little things that count. Amen.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. – Psalm 100:4 NIV
The Lord allows us to bond, even when we are at a distance. We can give thanks for the opportunity to fellowship with family members virtually from the safety of our homes. It may be different from sharing a meal together, but our love is still there.
We can be grateful for the family and friends we have. The Lord knows that we need each other. He knows we don’t like to be isolated.
He blesses us with good food, a roof over our heads, and the security of His love. We can find comfort in an uncertain world because He is there. He fills our lives with goodness and mercy. We can be thankful for that. Amen.
