Prayer Devotional: Day 32

Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song. – Psalms 95:2 NIV

Thankfulness can bring much joy to our hearts. No matter how challenging a day we may have experienced, we can always find something to praise God about. Focusing on God’s goodness can restore our spirits and music and singing can uplift our moods.

The Lord knows what can bring us joy, and He delights to celebrate with us. Amen.

Prayer Journal: Day 365

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. – James 1:2‭-‬3 NIV

God loves us in sickness and in health. Sometimes we don’t know why we have had to endure periods of illness, but we often end up appreciating what God does for us even more after experiencing hardships.

When we are healthy, we can praise Him. When we are healed, we can shout for joy.

Good health is precious and we can be grateful for it. When we take responsibility for our health and deliberately plan nutritious meals, exercise, and pray continually, the Lord rewards us with more energy and thankfulness. Amen.

Prayer Journal: Day 320

Day 320

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. – Psalms 100:4 NIV

We can thank God for the happy moments that contrast the bad ones. Spending time with family can renew our spirits, especially when we feel out of energy.

Children don’t have trouble staying in the moment, a form of praise to God. They delight in socializing, running, and laughing. Those moments are precious. We can be thankful for that. Amen.

Prayer Journal: Day 312

Day 312

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV

In this life we may face illness and hardship, yet the Lord asks us to give thanks no matter what the circumstance is.

Even on tough days, we can find something to be thankful for.

Joy is not the kind of false happiness that commercials display on TV. Joy is knowing that God loves us and saved us. Our lives are full of abundance. We don’t always see it, but God is always blessing us.

When we pray continually, we remember that we don’t need to make assumptions, react in anger, or take things personally. We can simply pray and ask God to help us with the emotions that we are experiencing, and He will help us. Amen.
