For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. – Luke 12:34
The world teaches us that we should seek treasure and riches, fame and fortune. The Lord knows that we need food to eat and clothing to wear. He doesn’t want us to chase after money. Money doesn’t buy happiness, and money doesn’t buy access to heaven.
It is by faith that we have been saved. God’s grace covers our sins, or else we would not be in heaven when the time comes.
The banquet that God has prepared in heaven for us is magnificent. It is beyond our imagining of what a feast could ever be. It is fancier than any 5-star restaurant that we ever had a reservation at, and it is worth waiting for. Amen.
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. – 2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
We are creatures of habit. Many of our thoughts are similar to the thoughts we had yesterday. To transform our thoughts from negative to positive, we need the Holy Spirit to transform our minds.
When we spend time worshipping with other believers, we start to change our thoughts. When we study and focus on God’s Word, we shift from trying to merely figure out how to manifest more money to discovering how God would like us to serve others in a bigger way. Monetary rewards are not the only type of wealth, because in Heaven there will be no need for money or fame. The glory of God satisfies our souls and gives us a purpose. The work of spreading God’s love is one of the most important things we can do. Amen.
Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. – Psalm 37:4 KJV
When we seek the Lord first, everything adds up for us. We don’t have to make long lists of things we want, and monetary goals, because money doesn’t buy happiness.
When we delight in the Lord, not only does He bless us, but also everything that He wants for us works out perfectly. We don’t have to worry about money, because He has already met all our needs. When we seek His face, everything falls into place. Amen.
Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. – Psalm 86:11
We keep the things we hold dear close to our hearts. God is no exception. He is in our hearts. He transforms our thoughts. He guides our paths to righteousness.
The Lord understands our hearts. He doesn’t want us to feel divided.
It is nice to have money to buy a new appliance when it breaks or to buy gifts for our loved ones during Christmas time, but that’s not the only thing that counts.
When God’s love is in our hearts, it impacts everyone around us. His love is a gift. We respect and honor Him, for He is good. Amen.
