Christians all believe in Jesus. When we get caught up in arguments about the difference between doctrines, the Lord can settle our minds.
We all deserve to be treated with love and respect, so instead of judging others or trying to disprove various theological points, we can simply love one another.
Jesus asked us to love one another the way He loves us. Amen.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. – 1 John 4:16 NIV
God is not only a loving God; He is the embodiment of love. When we become more like Jesus, love permeates every fiber of our being. Instead of asking God to grant a long list of things that we need from Him, we can ask Him what we can do to serve Him and show His love better.
In a world that encourages us to attract more wealth to ourselves, refocusing our attention on Jesus takes a paradigm shift.
We are not reflecting God’s love if we spend too much time noticing the flaws in others. God is the judge, and there is no reason why we would need to take that job from Him. The Lord is entirely qualified to judge the world fairly. We can divert our energies elsewhere.
When we live in love, we become more patient and kind and less critical. Amen.
