Prayer Devotional: Day 21

If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. – 1 Peter 4:11 NIV

Our words are important. When we are slow to speak and choose our words thoughtfully, we give time for the Holy Spirit to impress upon us what to say. He always gives us the right words at the right time.

When we speak without thinking first, we often say things we may regret later. That’s why it is important to pray before every meaningful interaction that we have with others.

When we go to work and serve others, we sometimes make mistakes because we are still learning. It is okay to be patient with ourselves during the learning process. The Lord can correct anything that we mess up, and He doesn’t blame us for making mistakes. He lets us learn and move on.

Our Lord is worthy of praise for His patience with us! Amen.

Prayer Devotional: Day 11

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ – Jeremiah 33:3 NIV

No matter how many degrees or experiences we have, the Lord can still teach us things we don’t know.

When we humble ourselves and open our minds and hearts to whatever the Lord has to show us, we are blessed.

We will never be disappointed when we call upon Him, because He wants the best for us. Amen.

Prayer Journal: Day 288

Day 288

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. – Psalms 25:4‭-‬5 NIV

I am a lifelong learner. God always has something new to teach me, a fresh experience to guide me through. When I place my hope in Him, my faith sustains me all day long.

I may be tired at the end of the day, but I know that I did my best, I helped other people, and I taught in the way that the Lord has guided me to teach. The Lord blesses us, our students, and our mentors. He knows that we are stronger and more courageous when we are connected. Amen.
