‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ – Jeremiah 33:3 NIV
No matter how many degrees or experiences we have, the Lord can still teach us things we don’t know.
When we humble ourselves and open our minds and hearts to whatever the Lord has to show us, we are blessed.
We will never be disappointed when we call upon Him, because He wants the best for us. Amen.
Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” – John 13:7 NIV
Peter didn’t want Jesus to wash his feet at first. Jesus knew that his disciples didn’t always understand the things that He did or why.
The Lord reveals to us just enough knowledge that we need to know at the right time. He doesn’t confuse or overwhelm us with too much information.
Some things we won’t understand when we read God’s Word, but that doesn’t mean that we will never understand them. We can trust that God will explain everything when the time comes. Until then, we can be humble and patient, because what we know is enough. Amen.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue… – 2 Peter 1:3 NKJV
Jesus gives us everything we need to live a godly life. He calls to us, even at 3:20 AM. He gives us peace, but we have to let Him in.
The world is full of wrongs. When we give in to our negative thoughts, past betrayals, and anger, we forget the knowledge that God ahs given us to replace the things the devil places in our minds to distract us. Yes, we may have had instances in the past where people wronged us, but when we constantly revisit those bad experiences, we shade our eyes from the glory God has in store for us. Amen.
My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. – Colossians 2:2-3 NIV
All knowledge and wisdom comes from God. If we are ever confused about our purpose, it is to bring others to Christ. Our other goals are important, but not as important as sharing God’s love.
Love unites people who don’t get along. It transcends our backgrounds, the color of our skin, and our socioeconomic status. Christ saved us by grace, and His love for us is immense.
When we speak from the heart, we can better communicate the richness of the love of Jesus. Amen.
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in him. – 1 John 4:15-16
Jesus is the embodiment of love.
Sometimes we get so caught up in being right that we forget to love. God asks us not to judge. We can confidently leave judgment in His capable hands. We do not need to know or understand everything because He knows everything for us. He reveals to us what we need to know, and we can rest easily because everything is in good hands when Jesus is in control.
Jesus teaches us how to love and how to serve one another. He is the best teacher we could have. Amen.
