In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. – Philippians 2:5-7 NIV
We are God’s servants, so our reward is in heaven. Although success and money here on earth may seem important by the world’s standards, riches do not buy happiness. The Lord knows that we need things, and He always provides them, but the key to abundance is listening to His voice. He is the Good Shepherd. He is also the best business partner we could have, so whenever we need coaching or advice, He is there to guide us.
Although much of the Bible was passed down to us by oral tradition, God literally wrote down the ten commandments for us in stone so that we would remember them and follow them. The Lord’s laws are the gold standard for business. When we speak the truth in our businesses, our honesty will attract the right clients and students. Amen.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. And He spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? Shall they not both fall into the ditch? – Luke 6:38-39 KJV
When we give our talents and knowledge for the benefit of others, abundance returns to us. We give not from a place of greed, but because Jesus has given so much to us.
We have to be careful if we find ourselves judging others with a harsh measuring stick. If we turned the tables on ourselves, would we want the Lord to judge us with that same ruler? Luckily for us, judgment is up to God and that is not a job we need to take from Him, because He does it better than we ever could.
When we think we know it all and can see clearly, we are in trouble, because we are blind. We don’t see other people’s thoughts. We can only make assumptions. The Lord can see everything. He knows everything. He leads us, and we do not need to stumble through life without His guidance. He is there to help us every step of the way. Amen.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. – Colossians 3:15 NKJV
When God secures an opportunity for us, we can be thankful. We can rest with our minds at peace, knowing that God cares about every detail of our lives.
When God’s peace is in our hearts, we can have the assurance that wherever we go, Jesus will be with us and will keep us in perfect peace when we set our minds on Him.
He seeks harmonious relationships for us, and as all the parts of the body function as a whole so that we can enjoy health, when we allow God’s peace to take over our hearts, everything works in a perfect sequence. Nothing is out of place when God is in control. He can guide us through anything. Amen.
Nevertheless I am continually with you; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. – Psalm 73:23-24 NKJV
Wherever we go, God is with us continually. He is so close that He could hold our hand, the way a parent holds a child’s hand before crossing the street.
The Lord guides our steps if we allow Him to. God’s glory is something that we can look forward to.
Transitions in this life are sometimes hard. We don’t always know how to cope with rapid changes, but God can guide us and strengthen us no matter how displaced we may feel.
Not everything is certain, but one thing is sure–God never changes, and He is here to help us. Amen.
