Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” – Revelation 5:13 NIV
There will come a time when every being on earth will praise the Lord, Jesus Christ. Regardless of our religious affiliation or our cultural upbringing, the universe and everything in it will honor the Lamb on that glorious day.
Sometimes it may feel like that day will not be within our lifetimes, because noone knows the day or the hour of Jesus’s Second Coming, except for our Heavenly Father. Some people say that day will be soon, but instead of spending time trying to predict when the Second Coming will happen, we can focus on spreading the good news of salvation through Jesus. Instead of hiding our light, we can let our light and love of Jesus shine through to everyone who knows us. Amen.
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” – Revelation 4:11 NIV
God is worthy. Sometimes we don’t feel worthy because we are new and we sometimes make mistakes. God is patient with us. He created us. He never gets confused.
We are fortunate to have a loving, creative Heavenly Father. Amen.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. – Psalms 29:2 NIV
Our God is awesome! He is holy, pure, and without sin. Jesus is our king, our counselor, and our best friend. Salvation is not a mistake or the Heavenly Father punishing His one and only son for no reason.
God loves us so much that He gave His only son so that we might live.
Even with His glorious sacrifice, some people don’t acknowledge that Jesus is our God. Life for those who don’t know Jesus must feel nasty, brutish, and short, as Hobbes had noted about the state of nature of man.
But we know that God is a God of purpose. Yes, we may encounter hardship during this lifetime. Some of the early disciples of Jesus had short lives, often ending as a martyr. Fortunately for us, the Lord doesn’t require all of us to become martyrs. He has a divine purpose for all of us. Amen.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue… – 2 Peter 1:3 NKJV
Jesus gives us everything we need to live a godly life. He calls to us, even at 3:20 AM. He gives us peace, but we have to let Him in.
The world is full of wrongs. When we give in to our negative thoughts, past betrayals, and anger, we forget the knowledge that God ahs given us to replace the things the devil places in our minds to distract us. Yes, we may have had instances in the past where people wronged us, but when we constantly revisit those bad experiences, we shade our eyes from the glory God has in store for us. Amen.
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. – 2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
We are creatures of habit. Many of our thoughts are similar to the thoughts we had yesterday. To transform our thoughts from negative to positive, we need the Holy Spirit to transform our minds.
When we spend time worshipping with other believers, we start to change our thoughts. When we study and focus on God’s Word, we shift from trying to merely figure out how to manifest more money to discovering how God would like us to serve others in a bigger way. Monetary rewards are not the only type of wealth, because in Heaven there will be no need for money or fame. The glory of God satisfies our souls and gives us a purpose. The work of spreading God’s love is one of the most important things we can do. Amen.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. – John 1:14 KJV
Jesus is one of a kind. There is no other Savior like Him. There is no other being in the history of the universe who is God’s son and also who took the form of an ordinary human.
He embodies glory, grace, and truth. He is worthy of our time and attention. When we focus on what He tells us, we will never be disappointed. Amen.
Nevertheless I am continually with you; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. – Psalm 73:23-24 NKJV
Wherever we go, God is with us continually. He is so close that He could hold our hand, the way a parent holds a child’s hand before crossing the street.
The Lord guides our steps if we allow Him to. God’s glory is something that we can look forward to.
Transitions in this life are sometimes hard. We don’t always know how to cope with rapid changes, but God can guide us and strengthen us no matter how displaced we may feel.
Not everything is certain, but one thing is sure–God never changes, and He is here to help us. Amen.
