Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. – James 1:2 NIV
When we encounter disappointments, God is teaching us something. Sometimes He is asking us to realign our values with His will. Other times He’s pointing out that He has something better in store for us than what we had planned. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. He knows what is right for us.
It takes patience to be tested. We don’t often like it, but when we finally understand what God has been trying to tell us, we come to value the lesson He is sharing with us. He can surprise us with opportunities that are better than we can imagine. We can have faith that He will see His plan through for us. Amen.
