Prayer Devotional: Day 73

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. – Psalm 56:3 KJV

I am scheduled to get my COVID-19 Pfizer-BioNTech booster shot today, and I must admit, I am a little afraid that I will react to it.

The Lord knows our fears and settles them. We can trust in Him to get us through whatever we are facing.

It is a privilege to be able to get a booster shot and that medical science, with God’s help of course, has allowed booster shots to become available. I am happy that I can access one.

Even though we may not understand why the pandemic had to happen, God saves us and comforts us during tough times. Amen.

Prayer Devotional: Day 68

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. – Psalms 27:13‭-‬14 NIV

God’s goodness touches our lives every day, in every way. We don’t have to wait long to see how good God’s influence over our lives is. We aren’t always in a headspace to appreciate His goodness, but that doesn’t mean that His goodness goes away. We might be too distracted to see it at the moment, but He is actively working to help all of us.

My mom received her COVID-19 Johnson&Johnson booster shot yesterday and experienced no side effects. Praise God, for He is good! She had to wait a little for the booster to become available, but the opportunity opened up for her.

When we ask God for something, He never forgets what we asked. He is never too disorganized or preoccupied to prioritize our needs! Amen.
