Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples. Shout to the God with the voice of triumph! For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great king over all the earth. – Psalm 47:1-2 NKJV
When the Lord gives us something big to rejoice over, it is time to clap our hands and enjoy that He opened a door for us.
The Lord takes care of all our needs, more than we ask. He is good!
Our Lord is awesome because no obstacle is too big for Him. No challenge is too great. No change is too overwhelming for Him.
He wants the best for us, and He is pleased when we give our lives to Him.
There is so much in our lives that we cannot see or predict, but the Lord makes our path sure.
He allows good things and people to enter into our lives. His timing is perfect. Amen.
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but these things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. – Deuteronomy 29:29 NKJV
When we accept that the Lord knows more than we do, we can relinquish our desire to control what happens in our future. Not everything is up to us. God reveals things to us bit by bit, at the rate that we can handle. He doesn’t overwhelm us with too many changes all at once. He allows us to take things one at a time.
There is no need to feel overwhelmed or stressed when He is directing us.
When we find ourselves wondering if everything will be okay, we can set our minds at ease because God is in control. Amen.
In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. – 2 Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV
When we are going through big life changes, it’s easy to get into a mode of complaining about how much we wish things were to stay the same.
God wants us to stop complaining and instead thank Him for all the blessings He has given us. If we stop and appreciate even the little things in our lives that are going right instead of harping on the details of what we perceive might be wrong, we can refocus our attention on thankfulness.
When we adopt a thankful mindset, our world view starts to change. Instead of attracting more of what we don’t want into our lives, we focus on God’s will for us. Amen.
In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me. – Psalm 86:7 NKJV
Sometimes change is troubling to us. We don’t know where to turn, but the one friend we can always call is God. He always answers! How many friends do we have who always pick up and make themselves available when we need them? Jesus is the best friend we could have.
He leads us through life changes with confidence. He gives us strength when we need it. When we feel the worries of the world creeping in, He comforts us and gives us peace. He is always there for us, no matter where we turn. Jesus is the one constant in our lives that will always stay the same. Amen.
But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” – Psalm 31:14 NKJV
Trusting in God means letting go of the “what ifs.” We don’t have to know every detail of God’s plan for us, because when we trust Him, we know that He has already taken care of all the details.
Jesus is our God, on a personal level. He knows us well. He guides us and counsels us. He leads us to change in ways that we would not be able to on our own. He brings about changes in our lives that teach us, challenge us, and help us to grow in wisdom.
When we think about our problems, we can remember how great our God is and that He is greater than our problems. He has all the answers. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Amen.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. – 2 Thessalonians 5:23 NKJV
We don’t save ourselves. Jesus saved us, and that allows every part of our being–our spirit, soul, and body, to have eternal life. When Jesus comes again, we will have a chance to start over, and get it right.
New beginnings can sometimes be daunting. Will starting over in a new place be natural for us? Will we remember what happened before?
God reveals things to us just at the right time. He never gives us more than we can handle, so He gives us time to process the changes ahead. He is always with us, guiding us through the unfamiliar territory. “What a friend we have in Jesus!” Amen.
Nevertheless I am continually with you; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. – Psalm 73:23-24 NKJV
Wherever we go, God is with us continually. He is so close that He could hold our hand, the way a parent holds a child’s hand before crossing the street.
The Lord guides our steps if we allow Him to. God’s glory is something that we can look forward to.
Transitions in this life are sometimes hard. We don’t always know how to cope with rapid changes, but God can guide us and strengthen us no matter how displaced we may feel.
Not everything is certain, but one thing is sure–God never changes, and He is here to help us. Amen.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have been made new. – 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
When we embrace the new things that God brings into our lives, we start to change for the better.
Part of us wants everything to stay the same, but God is the ultimate Creator, and He knows what He is doing when He invites us to change.
We can trust that no matter how drastic the changes are, we will be grateful for the good things that God brings into our lives.
We don’t have to be afraid of the old things passing away. The new things will more than make up for what we were used to before. Amen.
Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. – Psalm 37:4 NKJV
When we delight in the Lord, things work out for us. Our desires even change. Our hearts change. We are transformed.
The Lord cares about every detail of our lives. He can make positive changes in our lives, changes that we never would have thought possible. We can trust His plans, because He always leads us in the right direction.
Change can be uncomfortable for us because we don’t always know what to expect. Even through we know that God is with us, sometimes we forget to call upon Him. When we call upon Him in need, we can be glad that we did. Amen.
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with all of you. – 2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV
The one thing that we can find comfort in during the midst of change is that the Lord will be with us always.
No matter what changes, the Lord and His ever-presence stays the same. He can give us peace if we let Him in. It is tempting to get lost in our own thoughts and worries, but we can gently and firmly guide our attention back to Him.
He knows what He is doing. He created the universe with perfect order. It is man who brings disorder to God’s creations. The Lord can set things right again. He can rebuild what is broken. Amen.
