Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross! – Philippians 2:6-8 NIV
The humility of Jesus is something we can try to emulate. His sacrifice and service to humanity are to be admired.
How amazing the world must have looked through Baby Jesus’ eyes. Infants see things new. Each experience is special.

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care. – Psalm 95:6-7 NIV
The arrival of Baby Jesus into the world was a true miracle. Wise men traveled from far-away places to bring gold, frankincense, and myrrh to our new king. He is worthy of our worship.
When we bow down in prayer before Him, we acknowledge how great is our God. We can be thankful that He lovingly cares for us.
To appreciate the sacrifices He made for us, we can remember His birth, life, and resurrection.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. – John 1:14
With God, all things are possible. Jesus is the Word, and He blesses us by teaching us every day.
It’s sometimes difficult to comprehend how Jesus came to Earth to dwell among us. How humbling that must have been! God gives us miracles on a day-to-day basis. With God, nothing is impossible.
I know what it is like to have only one son. My toddler is precious. I delight in his every word and sentence. He is a smart little boy.
So, too, must it have been for those among Him to behold the glory of Jesus. He is God’s gift to humanity. Amen.
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The Virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son and they will call Him Immanuel” – which means “God with us.” – Matthew 1:22-23
The birth of Jesus was no accident. His presence was cause for celebration, and He is with us to this day in the form of the Holy Spirit.
When my toddler comes into a room, it is very clear he is there. He makes an impression, and he has a lot to say.
I’m sure that Baby Jesus made a big impact on those around him, even at a very young age. His existence was a miracle. The precious gift of our Lord and Savior in this world makes our lives brighter and full of meaning.
We are blessed to have a Savior who is so close to us. Amen.
