Prayer Reflection: Day 31

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. – Romans 15:5‭-‬6 NKJV

In an age of political division, finding like-minded perspectives is hard to come by.

I normally stay out of any kind of discussion about politics just to maintain peace and harmony.

Instead of focusing on what makes us different, it’s sometimes helpful to identify what makes us alike.

The more compassion that we have towards ourselves and others, the more we emulate Jesus.

My husband, son and I made a trip to the grocery at dusk, and my son pointed out the beautiful sunset. I of course made my husband and son stop and pose for a picture.

Some things are so beautiful that it’s easy for everybody to agree: like appreciating a nice sunset. It’s the little things that count. Amen.
