Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. – Galatians 6:9 NIV
A few times, members of a church that is not the one I have been baptized into have helped me and my family pack, move, and unload boxes.
Someone said to me once that asking a person to help you move is the worst thing that you could ask for, especially if you don’t know that person well.
Nevertheless, these Christian folks seem more than willing to serve.
Why? I wondered if they were trying to earn points into heaven or if they were just genuinely nice people.
Perhaps instead of trying to guess other people’s motives for helping us, we can simply express gratitude. Evey kind deed is noted by God. Those who offer help out of love show that they know God, because God is love. Amen.
