Prayer Reflection: Day 14

Test all things; hold fast what is good. – 1 Thessalonians 5:21 NKJV

The Holy Spirit can clarify the truth for us and steer us away from deception.

The devil is the king of lies.

The Bible warns that we don’t necessarily wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers. The devil has a way of influencing people to lie and do harm.

When someone does harm to us, instead of focusing on the wrong things they did and resenting them if they apparently got away with their misdeeds, we could ask God to free that person from the devil’s influence.

It’s challenging not to assign blame and to let things go, but when we forgive, we can experience the peace that only Jesus can give us.

When we delve deeper into scriptures, the Holy Spirit can guide us what to do and when.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean that justice will never occur, but it means that we can allow God to enlighten us regarding the difficulties that He helped us overcome. Amen.
