Prayer Devotional: Day 350

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. – 1 Thessalonians 5:14‭-‬15 NKJV

Yesterday evening, as we were getting to the hotel that we would be staying for the night, my four year old started to be unruly.

Patience when tired is sometimes a challenge, and my husband was tired from driving all day.

After I read my son some books, he asked if Nonnie Rita coukd say the goodnight prayer, which was special because she is coming to live with us and can spend much more quality time with us.

Then, my husband and I explained to our son why we address our prayers to our Heavenly Father.

Very shortly after, my son asked if there are bunnies in heaven and if we could be with the bunnies in heaven.

I said that we could one day, and when we get to heaven we may see Grandma and Grandpa Decker, too. It would have been Grandma Decker’s 84th birthday this year, but she passed away in June.

We have to be patient during weakness, because the lessons we learn on this earth can be difficult to endure before we can be reunited with Jesus in heaven. There will be no tears nor illnesses in heaven. I look forward to that day when Jesus comes again. Amen.
