My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. – James 1:19-20 NIV
God blesses us with an incredible ability to communicate, and when we use our gifts wisely, God is pleased.
Anger is a human condition, and it is normal, but the Lord knows that we are worthy of compassion, and He also calls us to show compassion towards others.
When we pause to ask the Holy Spirit for guidance before we speak, write, or use body language to convey communication, the Lord recognizes our efforts. He wants us to be at peace with everyone, and when we truly listen to Him, we can experience that peace more deeply.
Just like the rainbow after a storm, God forgives us if we don’t use our words as wisely as we could, and He gives us another chance to start afresh. Amen.
