Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. – Romans 12:10-13 NKJV
Hospitality isn’t just for the hotel industry. We can open up our homes when it’s safe to do so. Birthday parties can be joyful occasions, especially for children.
My husband had a cold during the week of Jacob’s actual birthday, so to be safe, I postponed the in-person birthday party for two weeks. Although we already had a Zoom party, it’s nice for my son to play with a few friends and enjoy food together.
Some of our guests are vegan or vegetarian, so I did my best to prepare vegan alternatives for them. Today was my first time attempting to make vegan cheese pizza.
The Lord delights in us treating each other with love. Amen.
