Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:6 NKJV
Casting all our cares upon Jesus is easier said than done.
It’s a natural human condition to experience grief when we lose a loved one and to care when someone we know dies.
Humility sometimes means admitting we overreacted and that in the end, the small things we worry about don’t matter. Perfectionists don’t like being wrong, but only God is perfect.
My husband and I are attending Grandma Decker’s viewing tonight.
It’s not every day that we attend a viewing, thankfully. Some people find comfort and closure from a viewing. Others may find it upsetting.
Either way, if we make it a practice to cast our cares on Him, we well find comfort during times of mourning. Amen.
