I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, For You have considered my trouble; – Psalms 31:7NKJV
Today I took my son to a pediatrician in Albuquerque because he has a cold, and I have one, too. Although I would normally wait to take him to the doctor if he didn’t have a fever for two days in a row, I needed to establish him with a new doctor after our move. I need to establish myself with a local doctor as well, but I had too much work today to make two appointments.
The Lord takes mercy on us when we have colds. He allows us to work, even if we are sick. He gives us strength to drive to the doctor’s office.
My son had a big tantrum on the way to the doctor and said over and over, “I don’t want to go to the doctor!” I prayed that I could keep my cool despite the trouble my toddler was causing by hitting me as I was buckling him into his car seat. I ignored the screaming and focused on driving. After we got there, he stopped saying he didn’t want to go to the doctor and acquiesced to the examination.
We don’t have to reestablish ourselves with the Lord after we move. He follows us wherever we go. Amen.
