When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. – Matthew 2:10-11 KJV
It is fun to see a child open gifts. Baby Jesus, even as a newborn, probably enjoyed his gifts, too.
Although holidays this year may be different because the pandemic has brought on its own set of challenges, we can still enjoy each moment, from moment to moment.
My toddler is three and a half years old. He found a key chain that his grandma left for him to find, and he excitedly exclaimed, “this is what I always wanted! I can drive my orange car all over the place.” He calls my husband’s MG his car.
It was funny! God gives us little moments to enjoy. Amen.
