Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. – Romans 12:12 NIV
If we take time to look, we can find joy in even the smallest things that God has created. The symmetry of a flower, its delicate petals, and its soft fragrance reminds us that we hope to be restored to the perfect balance that God intended for us one day.
Not every day is easy. We don’t know what we don’t know. Sometimes things go wrong despite our best intentions. We have to learn to let it go. Affliction could be minor or major, self imposed or brought on by others. The Lord can give us patience through it all.
When we ask Him for help in prayer, even for the littlest things He gives us insight into. Our faithful prayers will be answered, but sometimes the answers surprise us. The Lord has good surprises planned for us. Amen.
