Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. – Isaiah 40:30-31 NIV
God has the solution to energy crashes. When we are tired, we can place our hope in the Lord, and He will renew our strength. He can give us the endurance of marathon runners.
He also helps us pace ourselves, whether we are walking or running, working or resting. He knows when we feel burnt out, and He gave us the Sabbath to restore ourselves.
We look forward to the Sabbath because it allows us to rest and enjoy our relationship with the Lord. We love Him and want to follow His commandments, so we honor the Sabbath day, which He said to keep holy.
The next day we will have another day to work, and we can go forward with renewed energy and with the Lord’s encouragement. He can give us just the right amount of energy to get through each day, and then some. Amen.
