The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. – Psalms 145:14 NIV
I was talking to my mom and told her regarding an unexpected transition, “My heart hurts. My heart aches.” My three-year-old son looked at me and said, “I can fix it.” Then he blew me a kiss. Out of the mouth of babes!
Whenever my son falls down and scrapes his knees, we tell him that we will kiss it better.
I didn’t realize that my son was listening when I said that my heart ached.
The Lord picks up up when we fall. When it seems like the devil is attacking our loved ones, we can remember that God has already won the race. We have to believe, just as a child does, that the Lord wants the best for us and will make it so. When we bow down to pray, we know that the Lord will lift us up, both spiritually and physically. Amen.
