Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. – Proverbs 12:25 NIV
There have been times in my life when I have had a lot of anxiety. My anxiety didn’t mean that I didn’t have faith, but it distracted me from my faith.
The Lord asks us to cast our cares on Him for He cares for us. When we speak kind words to ourselves, we can have more compassion for others. When I find myself judging others, I ask myself “to focus on yourself. How would you feel if someone said the same thing about you?” I almost always back off from being angry after reflecting on my own standard of judgment.
When we feel exhausted, our physical state may cause us additional worry, but God is faithful, and He does not forget about us. Amen.
