Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. – James 4:14 KJV
None of us can predict what tomorrow will bring. We are not psychic. We only know what is in the present moment.
When we feel overwhelmed or agitated, we can remember that this life is only a small fraction of the eternity that we can inherit when we claim Jesus’s promises.
We don’t need to be worried about the everyday annoyances. For example, my little boy skipped his nap during the day and then took it at 5pm, which pushed his bedtime to well past 9pm. Plus he had a cold.
Didn’t that moment pass? God always comes to help us when we ask. Instead of dwelling on the past, we can focus on our future in Christ. Amen.
