Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. – James 2:12-13
It sometimes requires longsuffering to refrain from judgment instead of exercising mercy and love. When Jesus asked us to love our neighbors as ourselves, He also asked us to refrain from judging others harshly.
What would it be like if we could wish kindness and ease for all people? We don’t like to be in pain or to suffer. We wouldn’t wish pain and suffering on others, even when they push our buttons. It’s important to step back and see others the way God sees them. He loves them. He gives them second chances. It requires patience, but we can do it. We can forgive.
